After correcting ignition problems, i have now turned my attention to the carb. This has been burning rich since i first got it. I have been plagued with a bad to none existent tick over. I have spent hours tuning the carb but to no end. The Engine is a C15SG *** on as 66 plate?? The carb on it is a 376/231. This is for a Franny B Falcon as far as i am aware!

Would a 2 stroke carb affect performance in such a way The Amal site doesnt list a carb for a Sportsman. Does anybody know the Correct carb for this Model??? Thanks again Paulo. After stripping the carb, i have discovered the pilot jet, main jet and needle jet are the correct numbers for my bike (as per Rupert Ratio manual).

BSA Sportsman 15.22 LR: BSA Sportsman Fifteen.22LR.. Barrel Length - 24'.. Stock Length - 14'.. Calibre -.22LR.. Scope - Open Sights.. When you go hunting, you need high-quality optics to ensure your aim is accurate. Buy scopes from Sportsman’s Warehouse to ensure you’re always on target.

The parts are old and have some kind of light green residue/corrosion on them. I still cannot get a decent tick over and the carb is still burning rich which usually ends up in a flooded plug. I have spent days on tuning the carb and i still cant get the mixture right. Would an amal 'repair kit' help? Or Is it worth going to the trouble of getting a new carb?

Decided to do it now, might forget tomorrow Close up of the front mount, excuse the rust, that comes off tomorrow. The dovetail sections were bits of a ruined.22 body and were bored out to fit on machined surfaces on the BSA; the front bit butts on a shoulder as does the rear one. Persamaan Transistor Mosfet A10N50 Persamaan here. Both are larger in outside diametre than the body so they had to be inlet into the stock. Don't quite suit the Bushnell scope but everything is rigid. To get the bolt out the rear mount base has to be taken off, so I leave the bolt in and it becomes a 'captive bolt', which upsets some ROs Bye the way, welcome to the forum. At the range I go to they have a range officer now days since the place is crowded so often. All the RO does is order 'all actions open, put the rifle down and step back away from the firing line'. Google Voice Download Iphone here.

There is a yellow line to mark how far away one must back from the firing line. Seems to work just fine. At my old range where nobody was in charge it was a different matter and the 'rules' all depended on the dumbest or most selfish shooter that happened to show up on a given day. But speaking of 22's with a scope.

Got it in 1998. It was at one time probably the most popular semi auto 22 in the US and made by Ruger.Maybe it still is a best seller.it certainly has a lot of after market stuff for it still advertised. Can't remember the last time I fired it but it has been several years. I just find it a pain in the butt to take down and clean and cuss some getting back together again. Probably need to follow directions or something. The scope is rather cheap and unsatisfactory too.

As I remember. Looks like it needs some dusting off.
